Mr. and Mrs. Seth Bordner

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Michelle McGraw and Seth Bordner were united in marriage Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Pine Lake Pavilion in Mebane, N.C. Presiding was the Rev. Russ Boyd, a family friend, of University Christian Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
The bride is a daughter of Michael McGraw, Salisbury, N.C., and a granddaughter of Dr. Carl McGraw, of Radford, Va., and the late Nora McGraw. The bridegroom is a son of De (Mielke) Bordner of New Columbia, and Steve Bordner of Millersburg. He is a grandson of Bernice and Raymond Bordner of Dornsife, and Naomi and the late Francis “Jim” Mielke of Trevorton.
Kelly Bordner, sister of the groom, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Laura Farmer of Roanoke, Va.; Melissa Peng of Chapel Hill, N.C.; Alison Singer of Boone, N.C.; and Jessica Southard of Durham, N.C.
Serving as best man was Chris Baker of Northumberland. Groomsmen were Ken Brown of San Luis Obispo, Calif., friend of the groom; Eric Hart of New York, N.Y., friend of the groom; Terry Hart of Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom, and Jonathan McGraw, of Roanoke, Va., cousin of the bride.
The bride, originally from Radford, Va., is a 2002 graduate of Radford University. She is the artistic coordinator for the Carolina Performing Arts program at the University of North Carolina. The groom, originally from Sunbury, is an alumnus of Shikellamy High School and Bloomsburg University, and holds master’s degrees from Virginia Tech and the University of California at Irvine. He is a research assistant for the Parr Center for Ethics and doctoral student in philosophy at UNC.
The couple lives in Chapel Hill.
