SUNBURY — City police are seeking information on 20-year-old Bryan Reed, who is wanted for violating Megan’s Law requirements.
Detective Christopher Blase said Reed failed to register a new address after moving out of a North Second Street home last summer. He also failed to appear for an annual address verification and photographing, police said.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Reed is described as a white male, 6-feet tall, weighing 155 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. A photograph of Reed can be found on the Pennsylvania State Police Megan’s Law Web site, www.pameganslaw.state.pa.us/.
Anyone having seen Reed or who may have information on his whereabouts is asked to call Sunbury police at 286-4587, state police at Stonington at 286-5601 or their local police department.
Accident on 225
LOWER MAHANOY TOWNSHIP — A Coal Township woman escaped injury during an accident Sunday night, state police at Stonington reported.
Kayla M. Ressler, 24, was driving north on Route 225 when she lost control of her 1995 Chevy Malibu going around a right turn in the road, according to Trooper Kirk A. Renn. The Malibu hit an embankment, crossed both lanes and slammed into a tree on the left side of the road.
Ressler was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. She was cited for a speeding violation.
Two-vehicle crash
MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP — Two drivers suffered injuries Monday afternoon in an accident at the intersection of Route 225 and Luxemburg Road in this Dauphin County township.
State police at Lykens reported Homer Stamm, 63, of Watsontown, was driving a 1997 Ford F-150 pickup south on Route 225 at about 4 p.m. when he traveled into the path of a 1993 Chevrolet Storm driven north on the highway by James Wiest Jr., 18, of Herndon. Police said Stamm was attempting to make a left turn onto Luxemburg Road (Route 4002) when the collision occurred in the northeast quadrant of the intersection.
After impact, the truck traveled east on Luxemburg Road for approximately 15 feet before coming to rest in the westbound lane of Luxemburg Road. Wiest’s vehicle traveled about two feet in a northeast direction before coming to rest in the northbound lane of Route 225.
Police said Stamm, who was cited for a turning violation, suffered a minor injury, while Wiest suffered a moderate injury.
The northbound lane of Route 225 was closed for approximately 30 minutes.
Bad check
MOUNT CARMEL — Brenda Lee Spicer, 42, of 344 E. Columbia Ave., Atlas, was cited by Patrolman Matt Dillman for issuing a bad check in the amount of $136.38 on April 28 to Varano’s Warehouse.
Urinates in store
MOUNT CARMEL — Patrolman Matt Dillman cited James J. Lindenmuth, 45, of 437 East Ave., Mount Carmel, for criminal mischief relating to a June 24 incident at Puff’s Discount Cigarette Store.
Police reported Lindenmuth is accused of urinating inside his pants at the store at 10:30 a.m., leaving a wet spot on a $95 carpet that had to be replaced.
Retail theft
MOUNT CARMEL — Monica Weikel, 18, of 188 Lavelle Road, Lavelle, was cited by Patrolman William Adamski for retail theft for allegedly pumping $30.01 worth of gas into her vehicle without paying for the fuel on June 18 at Turkey Hill Minit Market. Weikel was stopped in Ashland approximately 30 minutes after the alleged theft.
DUI
MONROE TOWNSHIP — State police at Selinsgrove have charged Robert Debo, 60, of 205 Fairmont Ave., Sunbury, with driving under the influence of alcohol and several traffic violations relating to a July 4 traffic stop along App Road near Mill Road in this Snyder County township.
Bike found
RANSHAW — Coal Township police reported a white boys’ bicycle was found in Ranshaw and turned into township police Monday. The owner of the bike, which was originally blue, can claim it by contacting township police at 644-0333.
Home burglary
KULPMONT — Borough police are investigating a burglary at Michael Yonkovig’s home, 732 Chestnut St. No one was home when it happened sometime between Sunday and Monday, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 373-1522.
