ELYSBURG — An Elysburg man was transported by ambulance to Bloomsburg Hospital following a two-vehicle accident at noon Saturday on Route 487 near Monastery Road.
Ralpho Township police reported Dale Yost, 55, of 733 Bear Hollow Road, was operating a 1995 Toyota Tacoma pickup stopped in the westbound lane waiting to make a turn into a private driveway when his vehicle was struck from behind by a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Roslyn Solomon, 77, of Sunny Isles Beach, Fla.
Police said the MICU unit of Elysburg Fire Department transported Yost to the hospital. No further information on the extent of his injuries was available. Solomon refused treatment at the scene, police said.
Assisting at the scene were fire and rescue personnel from Elysburg and Overlook fire departments, along with Elysburg Fire Police.
