UNIVERSITY PARK — Patricia Ann McCarthy graduated May 17 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications.
UNIVERSITY PARK — Patricia Ann McCarthy graduated May 17 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in telecommunications.
While at Penn State, McCarthy was heavily involved in the Penn State Dance Marathon, more popularly known at THON, which raised $6.2 million this year for pediatric cancer. She was an active member of Circle K and the Public Relations Student Society of America.
She worked as an advertising account executive for The Daily Collegian and interned in Geisinger Medical Center’s Information Technology Department. She assisted in a research project with Prometheus Radio Project, which can be found on the Federal Communications Commission Web site. She is also a 2007 alumna of LeaderShape, a week-long leadership conference.
McCarthy is currently pursuing a career in media planning.
A 2004 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, she is a daughter of Kevin and Linda McCarthy, of Shamokin.
