n MOUNT CARMEL — Bad check charges against Rose M. Fedornak, 44, of 302 Westwood St., Minersville, were withdrawn Thursday after restitution was made at the office of Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak. Fedornak was charged by Kulpmont Police Chief Richard L. Wilson III after allegedly giving a bad check to B&B Heating Oil on March 3 in the amount of $335.

n MOUNT CARMEL — Ronald M. Nye, 18, of 912 E. Commerce St., Shamokin, waived to court Thursday charges of burglary, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, loitering and prowling at night, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak.

Nye was charged by Ralpho Township Patrolman Chris Dailey following a break-in at Fleetwood Motor Homes plant in Paxinos in March.

Nye was ordered to appear for arraignment on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.


n MOUNT CARMEL — William M. Puketza, 43, of 134 S. Locust St., Mount Carmel pleaded guilty Thursday to a charge of harassment and stalking during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak, and was ordered to pay fines and court costs. Puketza was charged by Mount Carmel Borough Patrolman Kevin Katch after allegedly assaulting his wife July 4.

A charge of simple assault was withdrawn in the case.

n MOUNT CARMEL — Charges of driving under the influence, careless driving and driving without headlights were waived to court by James J. Lindenmuth, 45, of 437 East Avenue, Mount Carmel, during a preliminary hearing Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak.

Lindenmuth was charged by of Mount Carmel Borough Police Cpl. Christopher Buhay following a traffic stop on June 8.

He was scheduled to appear for arraignment at Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury, on Wednesday, Sept. 3.

n MOUNT CARMEL — Charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver drug paraphernalia and possession of drug paraphernalia against David T. Wileman, 39, of 1139 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, were withdrawn Thursday during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak after the arresting officer, former Kulpmont Police Chief Edward R. Grego, failed to appear for the hearing.

Wileman was charged after marijuana plants were allegedly found growing inside his residence by police who were executing a search warrant on July 4, 2007.
