M.C. Twp. man charged with raping 14 year old

FRACKVILLE — A 60-year-old Mount Carmel Township man is in Schuylkill County Prison after being charged with raping a 14-year-old girl from Lavelle on Friday morning.
James E. Bucher Sr., 10 Main St., Merriam, was charged with rape and voluntary deviant sexual intercourse, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, luring a child into a motor vehicle or structure, and corruption of minors, according to Butler Township Police.
Bucher was arraigned through a video conference Sunday night by Magisterial District Justice Bernadette J. Nahas and committed to Schuylkill County Prison.
Straight bail was set at $50,000, Nahas said.
According to a criminal complaint, Bucher showed up at the victim’s house, lured her into his vehicle and drove to a remote location and raped her.
