Holy hour in Kulpmont
KULPMONT — Holy Angels Parish in Kulpmont will have a Holy Hour of Eucharistic Adoration in honor of St. Paul the Apostle at 7 p.m. tonight. All are invited to participate.
The Pilgrim Icon of St. Paul, which is traveling throughout the Diocese of Harrisburg, will be on display at Holy Angels Church from today through Friday.
Irish Valley Road drainage work begins
PAXINOS — A PennDOT maintenance crew is scheduled to replace additional cross pipes beneath state Route 4026 (Irish Valley Road) for improved drainage.
Work will take place in Shamokin Township between the intersection of Route 2013 (Badman’s Road) and Route 61.
The work will require daylight detours from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, beginning today and continuing for approximately two weeks. The signed detour route will follow Badman’s Road and Route 61.
Picking up prizes
SHAMOKIN — The winners of the duck race held during National Night Out on Aug. 5 have yet to pick up their prizes. Winners can do so by stopping by the Shamokin Police Station on North Franklin Street. Winners must present their ticket stubs in order to claim the prizes.
