n MOUNT CARMEL — Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, operating an ATV on the street, driving without registration, and driving without insurance against Victor J. Pawloski, 40, of 100 W. Melrose St., Marion Heights, were ordered bound to court Wednesday during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak..

He was charged by Mount Carmel Township Patrolman Matthew Filarski after an incident at Pawloski’s home Sept. 5.

A charge of flight to avoid apprehension was dismissed in the case, and Pawloski will face a court arraignment Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Northumberland County Courthouse, Sunbury.

n MOUNT CARMEL — Karen M. Lupatsky, 47, of 400 W. Saylor St., Atlas, pleaded guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness during a preliminary hearing Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Michael F. Mychak. She was ordered to pay fines and court costs of $547.


The charges stem from a Sept. 13 incident at 529 E. Third St., Mount Carmel, when Lupatsky allegedly got into an altercation with another individual, who required medical treatment after being shoved into a glass coffee table. The charges were filed by Patrolman David Donkochik of the Mount Carmel Borough Police Department.

Charges of simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief were dismissed in the case.
