Simple assault

SELINSGROVE — An inmate at Snyder County Prison has been charged with simple assault after allegedly hitting another inmate in the face at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, state police at Selinsgrove reported.

Alvin Hoover, 35, allegedly struck Donald Cooper, 50, in the face and knocked out three of his teeth at the prison, 600 Old Colony Road, reported Trooper Rodney D. Shoeman Jr.

A criminal complaint was filed in the incident, charging Hoover with one count of assault by prisoner, one count of simple assault and one count of harassment.
