To Russia with love
In response to the person who would rather move to Iraq than have McCain and Palin in office, I would rather move to Russia. Then I could wave to Palin, and be like, “Hey, sister.”
Out of the blue
You do all know how Barack Obama just came out of the blue to be this presidential candidate. Well, if he loses, I wonder if he is going to go back into the blue? Frog’s take: No, probably just back to his Senate seat.
Hats off
Hats off and a salute to the Rev. Andrew Stahmer for having Holy Angels parish picnic financial report published in the church bulletin. A first. Good going and God bless.
Speaking in tongues
I have a comment to phonies who say they speak in tongues when others are trying to hear the sermon. There you go, trying to grab attention. You are rude and you are just putting on an act.
Get ’em
Go get ’em, Vinny. You are doing a great job.
The real joke
This is addressed to the real reason. John McCain isn’t the joke. Who took more money than Obama took from special interest groups? You are the joke.
Maverick Johnny
“Maverick Johnny” at Denver in July called Social Security a disgrace that has to be fixed. The billion dollars we are paying in Iraq for a war, though, is fine. He is a perfect clone of Bush and probably worse. Then we get “Shooting Sarah” as a bonus. Wake up, people.
Out of my mind
A cat is a cat. A dog is dog. We kill a million of them at our SPCAs. I would have to be out of my mind to breed either.
Brewser’s backer
I used to go to Bonanza a lot, and now I go to Brewser’s even more. They have great food, and it is a family restaurant. Just because it has a bar in it does not make it a non-family restaurant. I believe every good restaurant in our area serves beer. If you don’t want your children to be around the bar, ask to be seated in one of the back rooms.
Thanks all around
Reading the editorial that Vinny Clausi had published thanking The News-Item for its coverage, I would also like to commend the paper for printing information and keeping Northumberland County taxpayers informed of the functions of the county. I also “thank” Vinny for his determination and actions to straighten out the county. This man used his own money to run for office, no burden on the taxpayer, and he is out there every day fighting to save every taxpayer money.
Custody fights
Did anybody watch “20/20” with Alec Baldwin recently? He hit the nail on the head. He had first-hand experience of what the system does to fathers, and it only cost him $3 million and three years to get shared custody of his daughter! So it is not just PA. I have talked to many fathers who wish they could have custody of their children but just cannot afford to do so as the system is a racket.
