NEGRIL, JAMAICA - Ashley Lynn Snyder and Ross David Peters were united in marriage by Pastor Robert Garwood at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2009. The ceremony was held on the beach of the Riu Clubhotel Resort in Negril, Jamaica.
The bride is a daughter of Sherry and Ernie Logan, of West Cameron, and Ken Snyder, of Klingerstown. She is a granddaughter of Tina and Jim Blessing and the late Paul Snyder, Roger Collier and the late Geraldine Collier.
The groom is a son of Frosty and Marianne Peters, of Elysburg. He is a grandson of the late Mary and Reynolds (Ray) DeSantis and the late Dorothy and Chap Peters, who lived in Shamokin.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Line Mountain High School. She graduated from The Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She is employed in the cardiac care unit at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, as a registered nurse.
The groom is a 2001 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School. He graduated in 2005 from The Pennsylvania College of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in graphic communications management with a minor in business administration. He is employed as a sales representative with Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., Williamsport.
Sarah Smith, of Baltimore, Md., was the maid of honor. Jaisen Leffler, of State College, and Spyke Krepshaw, of Williamsport, friends of the groom, served as best men.
A formal dinner reception for 40 family members and friends was held at the Shadows Restaurant Riu Negril Resort, followed by music and dancing at the resort's Pacha Disco. The couple resides in Watsontown.
