Kulpmont parade winners announced

KULPMONT - Michael J. Fantanarosa, chairman of the Kulpmont Lions Halloween Parade Committee, announced the winners of this year's parade, held Thursday evening.
The winners in the separate categories are:
Grand Marshal: "Toy Story" by Gembic family.
Judges Trophy: "Grease," Chloe Smith, Carly Jurasick, Jacob Hartman, Maura Deeter, Dylan Farronato, Olivia Reiner, Stephen Reiner, Maci Mazzatesta, Talia Mazzatesta, Myia Miriello, Nicole Varano, Donovan James, Andrew Wasilewski, Emilee Wasilewski, Lexi Kane, Lauren Ayres, John Ayres and Colton Habowski.
Singles winners: "Bam Bam," Kameryn Breinich; "Little Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe," Caitlyn Shulski; "Patrick Star," Dylan Weikel; "Dinosaur," Juliana Klusman; "Elephant," Brighton Scicchitano; "Dragon in a Wagon," Ian Stellar; "AG Towing," Brian Shawda; "Pirate," Ashley Wills; "Half Man, Half Woman," Shane Gudonis; "Pirate," Brandon Pellowski; "Abby from NCIS," Ciera Spangler; "Jesture," Logan Wills; "Dinosaur," Ben Miller; "Chicken," Josh Miller; "Pumpkin," Ashley Purcell; "Ghostly Kart," Jesse Hoffman, and "Flower," Melani Vezo.

Groups winners: "Wizard of Oz," Kiddie Keepers Day Care; "Alice in Wonderland," Kehler and Santell families; "Stan the Ghost," Northumberland City Council of the Arts; "Farmers," Frank Grindstaff; "Austin Powers" Bill and Michelle Marquardt; "Lobster Tank," Jackson Caleb and Embry Gensemer; "Fabulous Flappers," Komara and Leonard families; "Angels," Elysburg Daisy Troop; "Wizard of Oz," Share triplets and Sophia; "Moosetracks," The Trakks, and "Twister," Elysburg Brownie Troop.
Judges for the parade were, Raelene Sinopoli, Rita Buggy, Sherri Bozza, Denise Hanrahan and Mary Kay Bartol.
Mount Carmel Area Band, dressed in costume, and "The Shoreliners" on the Lions Club float, provided music during the parade. Other participants included Kulpmont Police and Fire Police, East End Fire Company No. 1, West End Fire Company No. 2, Strong Fire Company, Marion Heights Fire Company, Mount Carmel Ambulance, AREA Services and Kulpmont Ambulance.
Fantanarosa thanked the parade sponsors, parade committee, Lions Ladies, parade judges, the Rev. Andrew Stahmer, pastor of Holy Angels Parish, Rhoades Florist, Fantanarosa Transport, Mayor Robert Slaby and Kulpmont Borough Council, St. Pauline Visintainer Center Board of Directors, West End Fire Company and all participants who helped make this year's parade a great success.
Prizes can be picked up from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kulpmont Lions Den.
