Oversize load breaks down on Danville-Riverside bridge; Route 54 blocked

share thisDANVILLE - An oversized load has broken down on the Danville-Riverside Bridge, blocking Route 54 in both directions.
It was not immediately known how long repairs will take, PennDOT reported at 9:55 a.m.
Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes for the next few hours. Traffic control has been established at the Routes 54-487 intersection in Elysburg.
