Bear Valley crash

COAL TOWNSHIP — A Schuylkill County man was cited for making in improper turn following a two-vehicle crash at 7:14 a.m. Saturday in which both vehicles had to be towed.

Township police said Caleb Brommer, 19, of Donaldson, was making a left turn onto Bear Valley Avenue from Route 125 when he failed to observe an oncoming 2002 Honda Accord operated by Joshua Barley, 28, of Coal Township, causing a collision. Both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder of the road and were heavily damaged, police said.

Neither driver nor a passenger in Barley’s vehicle, Daniel Barley, 26, also of Coal Township, was injured, according to police.

Crash at intersection

COAL TOWNSHIP — Neither driver was injured and the vehicles were driven from the scene following a collision near the intersection of Clay and Hancock streets at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

Township police said Jason Molzon, 39, of Shamokin, was traveling west in a 2004 Ford Explorer and a 17-year-old girl from Coal Township was driving east in a 2005 Chevy Colbalt, both on Clay Street, when their vehicles collided. The Explorer had damage to the front driver’s side bumper, hood and fender area and the Colbalt had damage to the driver’s side front door area.
