Puppy stolen

SHAMOKIN — Police here are investigating the alleged theft of a seven-week old, white and brown Beagle from the rear of 1113 N. Pearl St. on Saturday or Sunday.

The puppy has a short “stubby” tail and has its first round of vaccinations.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call police at 570-648-5708.

Pot possession

SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP — Eric Jordan Cook, 26, of 111 E. Sixth St., Bloomsburg, was charged by Trooper Jason Drumheller of state police at Stonington with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia involving a July 10 traffic stop on Route 487 near Route 61.

Police reported Cook possessed marijuana, two multi-colored marijuana smoking pipes and a pack of rolling papers.


MONROE TOWNSHIP — Jonathon Kreiser, 33, of Shamokin Dam, was charged by state police at Selinsgrove with driving under the influence and related offenses relating to a July 21 incident in the parking lot at Walmart.

Retail theft

MONROE TOWNSHIP — A 17-year-old Shamokin male was charged by state police at Selinsgrove with retail theft for allegedly attempting to leave Kohl’s Department Store without paying for $67.50 in merchandise shortly before noon Monday.
