One-vehicle accident
EAST CAMERON TOWNSHIP - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on Route 125, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper Barry J. Wooten Jr. reported that Bradley D. Harter, 44, of Pottsville, was traveling north in a 1999 Suburu Legacy on Route 125, approximately 640 feet west of Route 2046, when he failed to negotiate a right curve at 4 p.m.
The car traveled off the north berm where it struck an embankment and then a small tree, police said.
Harter and his passenger, Tammy D. Lopez, 41, of Pottsville, who were both wearing their seat belts, were not injured. The car however was disabled, said police.
Vehicle hits track
UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP - A woman sustained minor injuries early Friday morning when she lost control of her vehicle and damaged the undercarriage on a railroad track, according to state police at Stonington.
Trooper James L. McCormick Jr. reported that Erica J. Gordon, 30, of Northumberland, was traveling north in a 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio on Renn's Road, approximately 280 feet north of Route 4004, when she lost control, crossed the roadway and travelled down a small embankment on the west side of the road.
Police said she struck a railroad track with the car's undercarriage.
Gordon was reportedly injured, but was not transported by ambulance. Her passenger, Joseph S. Krum, 28, of Northumberland, was not injured.
Gordon was cited for careless driving, immediate notice of accident to police department and restraint systems. Krum was cited for false reports after giving a false name when being interviewed relative to the crash.
