2-vehicle accident
COAL TOWNSHIP - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night at the intersection of Route 61 and the entrance to Wal-Mart Supercenter.
Patrolman Jason Adams, who investigated the 9 p.m. accident, reported Andrew Long of Shamokin was driving 2000 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Route 61 when he had a green light and proceeded through the intersection. Police said Steven Knock, of Mount Carmel, who was operating a 1996 Chevrolet truck north on Route 61, entered the turning lane to pull into Wal-Mart's parking lot, and turned in front of Long's vehicle as he was proceeding through the intersection toward Wal-Mart, resulting in a collision.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
An investigation is continuing.
Criminal mischief
PITMAN - Angela Kreski, 41, of 314 S. Coal St., Shamokin, was cited by state police at Stonington for criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a glass window in a door at the residence of Grace Snyder, 81, of 762 County Line Road, Pitman.
Police said the window, which is valued at $75, was broken at 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Criminal trespass
PAXINOS - Joshua Welliver, 32, of 210 Stamer Road, Danville, was cited by state police at Stonington for criminal trespass for allegedly entering the home of Leon Peachey Jr., 34, of 2106 Route 890, Paxinos, at 2:35 a.m. Sunday without Peachey's permission.
Underage drinking
SHAMOKIN - Joshua T. Smith, 19, and Stephanie M. Kiefaber, 19, both of 534 N. Market St., Apt. 4, Shamokin, were cited by Patrolman Darwin Tobias III for underage drinking involving an incident that occurred at 1 a.m. Saturday at 653 Bear Valley Ave.
ATV found
COAL TOWNSHIP - Police here recently recovered an abandoned all-terrain vehicle that can be claimed by providing documentation of ownership at Coal Township Police Station.
Vehicle vandalized
COAL TOWNSHIP - Kevin Zimmerman, 43, of Coal Township, reported someone stole a Dodge emblem valued at $40 from the hood of his 2004 Dodge truck while it was parked in the 1200 block of West State Street between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Coal Township police said someone also scratched the hood of the truck while prying off the emblem and smashed a pumpkin on the hood.
