DUI
SHAMOKIN - Michael Pasco, 21, of 632 W. Center St., Elysburg, has been charged by state police at Stonington with driving under the influence of alcohol and related traffic offenses in connection with a traffic stop at 1:41 a.m. Oct. 17 at Second and Walnut streets.
Vehicle hits deer
UPPER PAXTON TOWNSHIP - Craig H. Keller, 49, of Trevorton, escaped injury Wednesday morning when his Subaru Outback struck a deer while he was traveling south on Route 147 in this Dauphin County township.
Police said the deer ran out in front of Keller's vehicle, resulting in the 12:40 a.m. crash.
Disorderly conduct
SHAMOKIN - Mellisa Ward, 20, of 77 Raspberry Hill, Shamokin, was cited by Patrolman Bryan Primerano for disorderly conduct relating to a disturbance at about 8:30 p.m. Monday near her residence.
Arson investigations
SELINSGROVE - State Police Fire Marshal Norman Fedder is investigating two arsons that occurred in the borough Tuesday night.
Fedder said someone set fire to the passenger side front seat of a 1999 Dodge Durango owned by Roche Francis Babin, 47, of 121 Orange St., Selinsgrove, near the victim's home. He said combustible paper materials and an open flame were used to set the fire.
Police reported damage is estimated at $5,000.
Babin only has liability insurance coverage for the vehicle.
Fedder also reported someone deliberately set fire within a storage shed owned by Robin Richard Wesstrom, 49, of 6955 Chapins Road, Bloomsburg, at 4 Sand Hill Road in Selinsgrove at 10:26 p.m.
Police said the fire consumed items in the shed and spread to a 1998 Ford Explorer, 1998 Ford Taurus and a Plymouth Voyager mini van owned by Jessica Caraballo, 34, of 4 Sand Hill Road, Selinsgrove, that were parked near the structure. Fedder said the fire was set with an open flame.
Fedder said total damage is estimated at $30,000. He said Wesstrom and Caraballo are both insured for their losses.
Anyone with information about either arson is urged to call Selinsgrove police.
