Municipal results are listed; most candidates unopposed

Two incumbent Coal Township commissioners, Albert Santor and Craig Fetterman, were re-elected Tuesday without opposition. Santor had 957 votes, and Fetterman 949. Both are Democrats.
Sharon L. Castetter, a Democrat, was elected township treasurer with 1,018 votes. Castetter was also unopposed.
In other municipal races:
Ralpho Township
Stephen A, Major, a Republican, was the only candidate on the ballot for two seats on the board of supervisor. Major received 500 votes.
Although there were no other supervisor candidates on the ballot, 25 write-in votes were cast, so it's possible an additional supervisor will be certified during the official count.
Two incumbent supervisors, Howard Shadduck and Joe Shirvinski, did not seek re-election.
Charlene F. Zeigler, a Republican, was unopposed for township collector. She had 524 votes.
Shamokin Township
Supervisor Gary Rachua, a Republican, was unopposed in his bid for re-election. He had 261 votes.
Lisa M. Dietrick, a Democrat, was elected township tax collector with 230 votes. There was no Republican candidate.
Marion Heights
Michael Woytowich, a Democrat, had 78 votes to win election as mayor of Marion Heights.
Other victorious Marion Heights candidates were Anthony Dallazia, Republican, borough council, 71 votes, and Kathleen Kraynak, Democrat, tax collector, 84 votes.
Zerbe Township
Two seats were on the ballot for Zerbe Township supervisor.
Michael Schwartz, a Democrat, defeated Gene Geise, Republican, for a four-year term, 115 votes to 91. Michael Schwartz won election to a two-year term with 166 votes.
Penny Balavage, unopposed, was elected tax collector.
East Cameron Twp.
Norman A. Foura, a Republican, was elected East Cameron Township supervisor with 86 votes. He was unopposed.
Bonnie J. Collier, a Democrat, also unopposed, was elected tax collector with 104 votes.
West Cameron Twp.
Robert F. Long Jr., a Republican, received 26 votes for a four-year term on the West Cameron not determined until the official count to be conducted by the Northumberland County Board of Elections.
Michael M. Moore, a Republican, was elected to the board for a six-year term with 58 votes. Moore was unopposed. There were 7 write-in votes.
Republican Paul Smink, also unopposed, was elected township tax collector with 67 votes.
Floyd Maurer, Republican candidate, was elected constable with 68 votes. There was no Democratic candidate.
Snydertown
Henrietta M. Yarnell, running unopposed, was elected mayor of Snydertown. Yarnall, a Republican, received 64 votes.
Judith A. Wary, Republican, also running unopposed, received 64 votes for tax collector.
Elected to Snydertown Borough Council were Republicans Charles Dalpiaz, 62 votes, and Larry A. Wary, 50, and Democrat Robert Hetzendorf, 40. There were four council seats on the ballot, and with 10 write-in votes cast, there may have been an additional council member elected.
Riverside
Dale E. Erb, Democrat, was elected mayor of Riverside with 250 votes. There was no Republican candidate.
Elected to four seats on borough council were Republicans Peter T. Fleming, 233, Robert E. Betts, 229, and Gladys Y. Magill, 225, and Democrat John E. Lamotte, 181. Dale Whitenight, Democrat, followed with 175.
Republican Thomas R. Summers, running unopposed, was elected tax collector.
