Breakfast benefits young cancer victim

SHAMOKIN — Breakfast with Santa and Elsa will be held Saturday morning at the Shamokin Moose, 511 N. Rock St., to benefit 9-year-old Chase Morgan, who is fighting brain cancer.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and breakfast will be available at 9 a.m. A $10 donation is requested.

Tickets are available at the Moose and A Piece of Cake, 618 N. Eighth St., Shamokin. Tickets also will be sold at the door.

Chase’s family is from Shamokin and actively supports the community. His grandmother, Judy Wariki, is a lieutenant with Shamokin Fire Police.

Guests will be treated to a visit from Queen Elsa, who will perform hit songs from the movie “Frozen.” Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and Santa’s favorite elf, Courtney, also will appear. Children will be treated to a Christmas goodie bag from Santa.

Elsa, Santa and his elf will be available for free photos at the close of the event.
