Letter to the Editor: Tillerson’s ‘Kinsley gaffe’ tells the truth

To the editor: An October lesson in politics: The term “Kinsley gaffe” is an unintentional comment that causes political embarrassment; the term often refers to a politician inadvertently saying something publicly that they privately believe is the truth, but would not ordinarily say because it is politically damaging.

Yes, a prime example of a “Kinsley gaffe,” the situation in which a politician actually utters the truth, unwittingly or by accident, was the comment by the current (but might soon be “former”) Secretary of State Rex Tillerson calling the president a “moron.”

It is refreshing to know that at least one person in this sorry excuse for an administration in Washington, D.C., is willing to admit the truth about “the emperor,” the current leader of this great country.
