Music too loud

SHAMOKIN — Josh Brosious, 24, of 120 S. Franklin St., was cited by Patrolman Scott Weaver for playing music too loud at his residence at 4:10 a.m. Jan. 1.

Accident near McDonald’s

COAL TOWNSHIP — One minor injury was reported in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday morning at the intersection of Route 61 and Feeney Street near McDonald’s.

Patrolman Christopher Lapotsky reported Frank Graham III, 42, of 613 N. Law St., Allentown, was driving a vehicle south on Route 61 at 5:30 a.m. when he failed to stop for a red light. Lapotsky said the front of Graham’s vehicle struck the side of a vehicle traveling off Feeney Street into the intersection by Daniel Kramer, 31, of 1663 E. Webster St., Coal Township.

Kramer suffered a minor injury, while Graham escaped injury.

Kramer’s vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. Graham’s vehicle sustained minor damage.

Lapotsky cited Graham for a red light violation.

Assisting at the scene were members of Coal Township Fire Department and AREA Services.

Guilty plea

SHAMOKIN — Kaileigh Jean Soto, 30, of 145 N. Fifth St., Bloomsburg, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of a controlled substance and was ordered by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III to pay a $300 fine plus costs and placed on supervised probation for one year.

An additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Soto was charged by Trooper Tyler Watson of state police at Stonington with possessing a half tablet of Suboxone wrapped in wax paper and three hypodermic needles in her purse on Aug. 30 at the Family Practice Center on Route 61 in Stonington.
