HARRY DEITZ/FOR THE NEWS-ITEM Ralpho Township police and emergency responders were on the scene of a two-vehicle collision Monday night at the intersection of Route 54 (South Market Street) and Catman Hollow Road. One person was reported injured. The crash reported involved the car shown here and the vehicle of a person who resides near the scene of the accident. One vehicle was extesively damaged and was towed. The other was driven from the scene. Police are continuing their investigation. Elysburg and Overlook fire fighters responded along with EMTs from Elysburg ambulance.

Retail theft

LEWISBURG — Shannon Marie Shaw, 30, of 447 Harrison St., Shamokin, was charged with retail theft and driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked stemming from allegations she took two carts full of merchandise valued at $931.26 without paying and entered a Dodge Durango, then drove away, at approximately 9:03 p.m. Dec. 22 at Walmart in Kelly Township.

 Bad check

COAL TOWNSHIP — Shane Brosious, 29, of Shamokin, was charged by Patrolman Matthew Hashuga with issuing a bad check in the amount of $1,700 to Holdren’s Notary Service in Coal Township on Nov. 4.
