MILE RUN — A contractor will perform a spill cleanup from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 80 eastbound in West Buffalo Township. The work site is just west of the Mile Run Interchange.
In the event of inclement weather, the work will be done Wednesday.
There will be a lane restriction. Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
Duke Street project
NORTHUMBERLAND — PennDOT reports this update on the $13.7 million Duke Street Reconstruction Project:
Next week, there will be gas line relocation on Front Street between B Street and Hanover Street and there will be overhead utility work on Duke Street and Front Street. Traffic will be controlled with flaggers or lane shifts. Delays are expected.
Duke Street is open to car traffic only. A truck detour remains in place for all trucks over 36 feet in length. Those not making local deliveries are being ticketed by local police departments.
There will be a public meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Front Street Station, 2 Front St., at which representatives of PennDOT, the contractor and design consultant will be in attendance. There will be a presentation on the 2018 construction schedule, after which attendees will be provided with an opportunity to view project displays and ask questions.

WINFIELD — Work is progressing on the Northern Section of the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) project in Northumberland, Union and Snyder counties as follows:
Winfield Interchange: There will be excavation work, including night work. Daylight lane restrictions on Route 15 southbound will be implemented as weather permits for work at a bridge abutment.
Northumberland County: Route 147 traffic is using a temporary crossover to the new northbound bridge over Chillisquaque Creek. The contractor is demolishing the existing bridge over the creek. Construction has begun on the bridge spanning Ridge Road.
River bridge: Construction of Piers 1 through 8 will continue on the west side of the river. Piers 4, 5 and 7 are completed. Concrete is scheduled to be placed for Pier 1 and Pier 3 next week.
Production piles for the abutment on the Winfield side of the river are scheduled for next week.
Construction is ongoing on the abutment on the Northumberland side of the river.
