K9 Conan honored

In the White House Rose Garden, President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, an unidentified military handler and First Lady Melania Trump honor K9 Conan.

WASHINGTON — Conan, the K9 that participated and was wounded in an Oct. 27 raid by U.S. Special Forces that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria, was proclaimed a national hero Monday.

“This is Conan, right now probably the world’s most famous dog,” President Donald Trump said during the ceremony. “We’re very honored to have Conan here and to be giving him a certificate and an award that we’re going to put up in the White House.”
