Vouching for the ability of another man landed a Mount Carmel “miner” in trouble when he appeared on Saturday, May 18, 1907, before a Mine Examining Board.

Edward Feller was arrested and charged with false pretense, the fraudulent use of a miner’s certificate and violation of the mining laws of Pennsylvania, according to a report in the Monday, May 20, 1907, issue of the Mount Carmel Item.
