The growth and future prospects of Trevorton were touted in an article in the Saturday, Oct. 26, 1850, issue of the Sunbury Gazette.

“The place has improved with singular rapidity,” said the writer, noting that when the Trevorton and Susquehanna railroad had reached it on the previous May 28, the town plot was surrounded by wilderness.
