For the past 6 months or so, I have been greatly impressed and slightly depressed as a result of Koz Zoom get-togethers. Siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, spouses and significant others have been holding virtual reunions every Sunday afternoon.
My depression has nothing to do with spending time with family, though. We’re not one of those families who looks forward to reunions — actual or virtual — with a sense of dread. My generation always enjoyed getting together because our parents always made sure everyone had a good time when we got together.
