SHAMOKIN — The Shamokin Area Junior-Senior High School received an unconfirmed threat prior to 8 a.m. Friday morning, which impacted a concert planned for after-school hours on the same evening. According to junior-senior high school principal Todd Hockenbroch, while the threat did not result in a lockdown at the school, it did prompt school officials to reschedule its pops concert from 7 p.m. Friday to the same time on Wednesday, May 29.

"The only thing I can report at this time is that we received an unconfirmed threat today that is currently under investigation," said SAHS principal Todd Hockenbroch, when asked to comment by phone Friday afternoon.

While Hockenbroch did not indicate who was handling the investigation, he indicated that he would be willing to provide more details when permitted by law enforcement.
