KULPMONT — Robert Slaby defeated, by a single vote, Kulpmont Council President Walt Lutz in the race for a four-year seat on council, according to official results released Wednesday by the Northumberland County Board of Elections.

Lutz will not have a position beginning in 2020, when council will welcome Stephen Motyka, who received the most votes with 415, and Joseph J. Dowkus II, who received 359.

I don't remember in my 48 years of voting anyone in Kulpmont if not all of North'd Co. ever losing an election with both the Democratic and Republican nominations???!!!
