SUNBURY — Brewers’ Outlet, 231 Reagan St., is celebrating its 50th anniversary of being the “area’s beverage supermarket,” and owner Cory Fasold is throwing a party Friday.

“I want to do something for my customers because without them I wouldn’t be in business. This is my gift to them,” Fasold said.

The distributor will open its doors at their regular time of 9 a.m. Friday with festivities beginning at 1 p.m. Thirty breweries and beer vendors will be at the distributor to hand out samples and some will be offering taste tests until 6 p.m. There will be food, prizes and giveaways including large ticket items like bikes, coolers and chairs.

The birthday party culminates with an outdoor concert by “Drive,” a Cars tribute band, starting at 7:30 p.m. and playing until 10:30 p.m. The outlet will be open extended hours until 11 p.m.

“It’s going to be a blast,” Fasold said.

Also offered are many 30-pack specials all week.
