SHAMOKIN — Big Boys NAPA has served the coal region since 1961, with auto parts, tools and equipment for do-it-yourself customers who aren’t afraid to get a little grease on their hands.
Locally owned and operated, Mike Schlenker bought the Shamokin business almost four years ago, and with it came staff with more than 40 years experience that know how to point customers in the right direction.
Dave “Muzz” Mrozowski has 49 years of experience and said while records of the business weren’t kept until around 1966, he remembers shopping at the store as a kid with his dad in the early 1960s. Muzz works alongside his wife, Cindy Mrozowski, who brings with her 12 years of experience.
Big Boys carries a complete line of automotive parts for cars and light trucks, agricultural filters, heavy duty filters, hydraulic hose, fabricating and more, with a nationwide warranty on all parts, according to Schlenker.
Muzz said the store carries brakes among other parts for heavy duty trucks. Tools and shop equipment fill the shelves including lighting, batteries, exhaust and a small collection of paint. Dewalt items are always kept in stock.
Big Boys sells quality parts at a fair price and offers overnight availability on parts, Schlenker said. Deliveries can be made to businesses only.
