DALMATIA — Steeped in tradition and experience, the staff and owner of Stone Valley Seeders, 1850 George St., is ready to serve its customers with all their outdoor power equipment, excavation and lawn care needs.

Owner Todd Schaffner has been working with such equipment since 1994, starting out as a technician at Deerfield Ag and Turf in Berrysburg. At that location, Schaffner was part of a team that sold and serviced John Deere power equipment and Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

One year later, Schaffner was part of the team that merged Deerfield with Meckley’s Sales and Service in Herndon, forming Prime Line Equipment in Berrysburg. Schaffner was part of the shop there until it closed in 2013.

During his tenure at Prime Line, Schaffner was trained in all aspects of outdoor power equipment repair, servicing and repairing brand names such as John Deere, Cub Cadet, Kubota, Simplicity, Exmark, Stihl, Jacobsen, White, Troy-Bilt, Pramac and Generac generators, Honda ATV’s, Ski-doo Snowmobiles and also Briggs and Stratton, Kohler, Tecumseh, and Kawasaki engines.

In 2006, Schaffner started his own business, Stone Valley Seeders, to specialize in hydroseeding, a process used to plant grass. Today, Stone Valley Seeders service what they sell in that aspect as well, not only doing new lawn installations, lawn fertilization and weed control service. They also offer excavation service, silt sock manufacture and installation service and also do hardscape work.

In March 2017, Stone Valley Seeders purchased TL Adams Outdoor Power Equipment and moved into their current home in Dalmatia. They sell and service brands such as Simplicity, Ferris, Snapper, Columbia, Briggs and Stratton power products, BearCat and Echo handheld equipment.

These brands will be on display at an open house Stone Valley will host from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 13. Most Echo and BearCat products will be 15 percent off during this one day sale.

Servicing all brands of equipment, compact tractors, ATVs, lawn and garden equipment and handheld products, and bringing the latest in equipment to the public, Stone Valley Seeders is a one-stop shop for all outdoor upkeep.

Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Give them a call at 570-758-4321, or visit their website, www.stonevalleyseeders.com or through their Facebook page.
