VFW auxiliary makes donation

The VFW Auxillary 2110 Mount Carmel donated 14 afghans and toiletries to area veterans at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home and Serenity Gardens Assisted Living Center on Dec. 16. MOUNT CARMEL — The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Auxillary 2110 visited veterans over the holidays at the Mount Carmel Nursing Home and Serenity Gardens Assisted Living on Dec. 16. and delivered items they collected during November.

Fourteen afghan blankets and toiletry bags were delivered to both facilities. Remaining items went to the Wilkes-Barre VA hospital.

The auxillary would like to thank all those who donated items the ladies who knitted the blankets and UNB Bank for letting them place a box for collections.
