Ale House Bar and Grill expanding soon

Co-owner of the Ale House Bar and Grill in Shamokin Forrest Curran stands in front of the soon-to-be-expanded restaurant in the downtown.

SHAMOKIN — A downtown staple will be closed three days next week in preparation for a grand reopening Nov. 8 upon expanding to a neighboring building.

The Ale House Bar and Grill, owned by Forrest and Amanda Curran, made a purchase of its adjoining building (formerly a Chinese restaurant) to expand the restaurant, which Forrest Curran said came as a direct result of the proposed healthcare facility on East Independence Street.

Wonder how much he paid in permit fees to have all that work done to both sides? Guess we're gonna find out.
