AOAA donates back to local communities

After another successful year, the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure Area (AOAA) was able to donate $121,000 back to local communities in 2020. In June, the AOAA donated $68,500 to the Northumberland County commissioners; in September, $15,000 to the Housing Authority of Northumberland County from the “Fight the Blight” benefit ride; $20,000 was donated to Coal Township commissioners; $10,000 to Zerbe Township supervisors; $5,000 to the City of Shamokin; $1,000 each to East and West Cameron townships; and $500 to Mount Carmel Township. The AOAA has been able to give back $291,500 in the past six years since its opening.
