Body of Stephen Shingara recovered

The body of Stephen Shingara Sr. was recovered from a mine disaster at Shingara Slope on Nov. 15, 1946.

The body of Stephen Shingara, 37, Augustaville, father of nine children, was recovered yesterday at 4:00 p.m., almost 53 hours after the cave-in of an independent mine floor plunged him into water-filled old workings near Bear Valley.
