BLOOMSBURG — Three Catawissa area residents avoided jail time for refusing to wear masks, or leave, at a Southern Columbia Area School Board meeting in 2021.

Gary Krum, 71, Katherine Detwiler, 46, and Elaine Barnhart, 71, were ordered Thursday to pay a $1,000 fine, serve one year of probation and complete 50 hours of community service. The three were found guilty in January of defiant trespassing, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to the Columbia County District Attorney’s Office.

Such an embarrassment how this is still being taken seriously, how can mandating masks even be legal knowing it causes bacterial pneumonia which is has much more potential to be fatal than the flu.. I mean covid
