Welsh honored with plaque at final meeting

COAL TOWNSHIP — “This is definitely a bittersweet moment for me.”

Outgoing township Commissioner Gene Welsh delivered an impassioned goodbye speech to his fellow board members concluding with a generous donation of $200,000 to the Recreation Center project on Arch Street at Thursday’s commissioners meeting.
