Sentencings

SUNBURY — Six defendants were sentenced Monday in Northumberland County Court of Common Pleas. They are:

• Travis Byers, 26, of Shamokin, was sentenced by President Judge Charles Saylor to 24 months of intermediate punishment with the first 12 months on house arrest for possession with intent to deliver heroin.

Byers was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs.

He was charged by Shamokin police in connection with a May 2 incident.

• Elisha Adams, 46, of Shamokin, was sentenced by Judge Paige Rosini to two years of intermediate punishment with the first three months on house arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Shamokin police charged Adams relating to an incident on Oct. 28, 2016.

Adams also received a concurrent sentence of six months of intermediate punishment with the first three months on house arrest for driving under the influence of a controlled substance filed by state police at Stonington in connection with an incident on July 7, 2017.

Adams was ordered to pay fines and costs.

• Jill Donkochik, 39, of Kulpmont, was sentenced by Rosini to two years of intermediate punishment with the first month on house arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

She also received a concurrent sentence of six months of intermediate punishment with the first month on house arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

State police at Stonington charged Donkochik relating to incidents that occurred May 6 and July 1.

Donkochik was ordered to pay fines and costs.

• Calvin Derck, 43, of Mount Carmel, was sentenced by Rosini to 24 months of state intermediate punishment for theft and was ordered to pay costs.

Derck was charged by Shamokin police relating to an incident on May 25, 2014.

• David Rodriguez-Reyes, 45, of Shamokin, was sentenced by Rosini to two years of state intermediate punishment for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility involving an incident on Oct. 24, 2017, in Shamokin.

He also received concurrent sentences of two years of state intermediate punishment for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility in connection with an incident on Sept. 28, 2017, in Coal Township, and for unsworn falsification involving an incident in Shamokin on Dec. 23, 2015.

Rodriguez-Reyes was ordered to pay fines and costs.

• Cassidy DeMarco, 24, of Mount Carmel, was sentenced by Judge Hugh Jones to 12 months’ probation for theft by unlawful taking and was ordered to pay a $100 fine plus costs.

Mount Carmel police charged DeMarco relating to an incident on Dec. 27, 2017.
