CATAWISSA — Due to a 9% drop in enrollment figures over the last five years, some teaching positions within the Southern Columbia School District are at risk of being furloughed.

A resolution pertaining to employee furlough or suspension is the primary item on the agenda of a special board meeting at 7 p.m. tonight. The meeting will be livestreamed on the Southern Columbia Area School District’s YouTube channel and will be preceded at 6 p.m. by meetings of the activities and policy committees.
