DANVILLE — Dr. Daniel Graf, an epilepsy specialist, has joined the team of neurologists at Geisinger Medical Center.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that is characterized by unpredictable seizures and other health conditions. There are a number of reasons for seizures but often the cause is unknown. Treatment options can include lifestyle changes, medication or surgical intervention.

Graf has clinical interests in intracranial monitoring, neuromodulation and sterotactic laser ablation. He also has research interest in epilepsy genomics.

He received fellowship training in epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology at Emory University. He completed a residency in neurology at University of Texas Medical Branch, and one in nuclear medicine at the State University of New York Buffalo. Graf received his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and a master’s degree in public health at Columbia University in New York.
