SHAMOKIN — The PIAA has moved District IV football games scheduled for Friday to Saturday because of expected heavy rain starting mid-day Friday.

The new schedule moves Mount Carmel Area's game to 1 p.m. Saturday. The Red Tornadoes host North Penn in the District IV-Class 2A semi-finals.

Southern Columbia's 2A semi-final will be at 7 p.m. Saturday against Troy at home.

Shamokin Area was already scheduled to play at 7 p.m. Saturday at Danville in a Class 3A semifinal. 

Also scheduled Saturday is a Class 1A state quarterfinal girls soccer game. Southern Columbia takes on Montrose at 1 p.m. at Dunmore High School.
