COAL TOWNSHIP — Frontline workers and visitors to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital were treated to Maurer’s Dairy ice cream Thursday afternoon, courtesy of funding from State Farm Insurance and local agent Greg Klebon.

Hospital Administrator Mike Morgan said the kind gesture from Klebon was just another example of goodwill from the community in light of the challenges hospital employees have faced since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
