SUNBURY — A Shamokin man was charged Thursday for allegedly attempting to use clean urine for a urine sample in the county probation office on June 20.

The District Attorney’s Office released a statement that charges of furnishing drug free urine and disorderly conduct were filed against Robert D. Tucker, 24.

Probation officers uncovered a condom containing clean urine and a sewing needle during a search of Tucker’s clothing. A probation officer pricked his finger on the needle due to Tucker’s failure to state he had one in his clothing. The officer underwent a medical evaluation at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.

Charges were filed in the office of Magisterial Judge Michael Toomey. A preliminary hearing will be scheduled at a later date.
