SHAMOKIN — A 41-year-old Sunbury man was held for court on three misdemeanor prostitution offenses Tuesday morning, while a fourth charge was dismissed by Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III during a preliminary hearing.

Cory E. Hoover, of 301 N. 11th St., Sunbury, was held for court on two counts of prostitution (promoting prostitution and patronizing prostitutes) and one count of criminal conspiracy to commit prostitution. The charges were initially filed as felonies, but were reduced to misdemeanors at the hearing.
