SUNBURY — Northumberland County District Attorney Tony Matulewicz recently educated county residents on scams and identity theft.
On March 7, the district attorney talked to residents of the Lewis Building in Northumberland and the Riverfront Apartment Complex in Sunbury.
Matulewicz covered multiple topics including spoofing, phone and internet scams, identity theft and steps residents can take to protect themselves from these crimes. He gave advice to the residents on how to identify and respond to potential scams.
After each talk, Matulewicz held a question and answer session.
Future presentations will be made at the Pines facility and Nottingham Village in Northumberland, and Chestnut Towers in Sunbury.
Matulewicz thanked the managers and administrators of the facilities for their efforts in arranging and organizing the talks.
