SHAMOKIN — Lower Anthracite Model Railroad Club representative Peter Fleming said open houses for the club’s model train display will likely not take place in December due to several factors beyond their control.

The centerpiece of the display on the second floor of the American Legion building is a 3,000-square-foot HO-scale railroad depicting the 27-mile long Shamokin Valley Branch of the Pennsylvania and Reading railroads from Northumberland to the interchange with the Lehigh Valley Railroad in Mount Carmel.
