ATLAS — The Mount Carmel Township Board of Supervisors on Wednesday affirmed the rejection of a land development plan from David and Lori Campbell, of Kulpmont Monuments, to construct a crematorium along Route 61 at Strong.

Supervisors Aaron Domanski, Rich Mychak and Chuck Koveleskie voted to nix the plan, which drew applause from the majority of those attending Wednesday night’s regular meeting that had been moved to a township garage to accommodate more guests.
