KULPMONT — After a lengthy hiatus caused by COVID-19, post meetings resumed at the Kulpmont American Legion on Feb. 25. The last meeting before that was held in February 2020.

The virus did not influence allegiance by Post 231 in conducting necessary business and veteran activity, despite its harsh presence. Commander Dave Shinskie gave one instance where the American flag waives unremittingly at the Veteran’s Memorial Field in Kulpmont as a semblance of continued operation at the post. Post 231 donated the flag and mast to the committee that established the Veteran’s Park and garden in Kulpmont.
